A Millipede production! The user takes control of our monster via their webcam and microphone to cause as much damage to the city as possible. Users can breathe fire to bring down buildings and bash fighter jets clean out of the sky. Much loud roaring and flailing of arms is recommended.
Tips:
- ensure you have a well lit room
- avoid having any other movement occuring behind you
- sitting in front of a plain wall helps the webcam spot your movement more efficiently
This project is part of our ongoing research and development program into how we can evolve user interaction beyond mouse actions and keyboard commands.
With SuperMonster CamSmash 3001, we decided to engage the gamer in vigourous physical action and vocal performance as an integral part of user input, creating a full body browser experience.
